New E-Learning Course from the BIAS network: Using AI in the workplace
A new online course from the BIAS network (https://www.biasproject.eu/) about the use of artificial intelligence in the workplace has now been launched. The goal is to increase understanding of potential bias, fairness, and the responsible use of AI, especially in relation to the hiring process. The course is free of charge and takes about 3.5 hours to complete. It does not need to be taken all at once; you can log out and log back in at your convenience. We are pleased to share a new training opportunity that may be of interest to your members and community: the BIAS E-Learning Course “Shaping Responsible and Inclusive AI in Recruitment: A Capacity-Building Journey”.
The course, developed by the BIAS project, addresses an increasingly relevant topic: the growing use of artificial intelligence systems in selection and recruitment processes, and the risk that these systems may, even unintentionally, reproduce or amplify bias and discrimination. In this context, it supports HR professionals, AI experts and organisational stakeholders in understanding bias, fairness and the responsible use of AI in recruitment, also in light of the EU AI Act’s focus on AI literacy.
The course offers a practical introduction to:
- AI and bias in recruitment;
- foundations on AI and NLP concepts;
- fairness in AI-assisted hiring;
- EU AI Act–related awareness;
- prompt formulation for HR contexts;
- practical simulations on AI-assisted recruitment and AI tool development.
